The People's Republic of China is a founding member of the UFA (1997) and held the rotating UFA Co-Chair appointment from 2012-2014.
The People's Republic of China has a comprehensive and developed anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing system. The People's Bank of China (PBC), acting as the country's AML/CFT competent authority, has established the Financial Intelligence Unit including PBC headquarters' Anti-Money Laundering Bureau, China Anti-Money Laundering Monitoring and Analysis Center (CAMLMAC) and PBC branches' AML divisions.
The People's Republic of China has signed and ratified all the AML/CFT- related international conventions issued by the United Nations and became a member of the FATF in 2007.
