The Cook Islands became a member of the UFA in May 2001.
The Cook Islands has a developed anti-money laundering system. The Cook Islands has enacted broad anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing laws and has a Financial Intelligence Unit and a system for reporting suspicious transactions.
The Cook Islands underwent its third UFA Mutual Evaluation in November 2017 and the report was adopted by the UFA in July 2018. The full report is available in Documents under Members and Observers and Mutual Evaluation Reports - 3rd Round.
