Chinese Taipei established its FIU in 1997 and was a founding member of the UFA in the same year.
Chinese Taipei has a developed anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism system having enacted a number of laws relating to anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism. Chinese Taipei underwent its 3rd Mutual Evaluation in November 2018 and the full report was adopted by the UFA in August 2019.
