Timor-Leste became a member of the UFA in July 2008.
Timor-Leste is developing its anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism system and has in recent years enacted anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism laws.
Timor-Leste established its Financial Intelligence Unit, Unidade de Informação Financiera Timor-Leste, in 2014.
Timor was subject to a mutual evaluation in 2012 and the report as adopted in July 2012. The report is available via the Documents section of this website.
